Biography of Nelson Alexis
|
The
eldest of the Logan Alexis Singers and also is a traditional song
holder for the Logan Alexis Clan. He has many years of leadership with
Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation. He is the eldest of the Logan Alexis
family and is spiritual backbone of the entire Alexis clan. He
represents Christianity when he plays for the local churches and
participates in Christian functions. He remains a true spiritual
leader in the Alexis Community and promotes sobriety and the culture of
Alexis clan.

His Accomplishments Include:
He’s
is a proven public speaker, Gospel Singer, provides music ministries
for Christian functions, wellness facilitator, individual and group
councilor, Christian councilor and music ministries for youth
retreats also participates in the ceremonial Round Dances with the
Logan Alexis Singers. 26 years of Leadership, Council member of the
Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation. Foreseen financing and the construction of
the Alexis Training Center to ensure that cost effective training
programs were delivered for his people. The facility is equipped to
offer programs in the sciences and trades. Experience in negotiating
opportunities at the Local level in the area of Traditional Land Use
Policies. Secured training initiatives and funding, and negotiated a
multi year agreements for social development and traditional land use
studies for the Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation.
